 Horrible chemical smell, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pampers Cruisers Diapers Jumbo Pack Size 3 31ct. (Baby Product) These diapers came with a very strong chemical smell. I called Pampers to inquire about it and they said the "masking agent" that they use to cover the chemical smell must have broken down. I asked if they were safe to use on my baby and she said I had to use my own judgment. I then asked if she was saying she couldn't verify the safety of their product and she repeated that it was my call. I was shocked that a company with the longevity and "trusted" name of Pampers would not stand behind their product and say it was safe. We switched to Earth's Best after that. (Baby Product) Since our son has recently tipped the scales at 16.5lbs, and size 2 diapers were starting to look really tight on him, we've decided to try these. We've had him in Pampers Swaddlers until now, and absolutely loved them. But he's getting more mobile, so we bought a small pack of Cruisers to see if he's missing out.It's been a complete disaster. The Pampers Cruisers (size 3) are obviously big enough - they cover his belly button and come quite high over his waist. And we've been diapering successfully for the last 4 months, so it's not like we're not doing the diapers up tight enough or not making sure the frills aren't bunched up inside. But every single full diaper has leaked out the back, even if he went standing up and we only laid him down for the diaper change (so the poop must have just sat there, unabsorbed, until we put him down). I hear this is a problem only with breastfed babies (looser bowel movements), so we'll have to stick to Swaddlers if we don't want to... Read more |
